Have you ever been at a point in your life when you wondered why you were doing what you were doing? Or thought that there must be a better way? We did. Our turning point started with a conversation at a local bar with a local guy about someone named Terry Gompert. Terry was a Holistic Management educator and passionate about regenerative agriculture. That conversation in a bar encouraged Jed to learn more about rotational grazing and low input ranching.
“We are part of the earth and it is part of us. ... What befalls the earth befalls all the sons of the earth.”
It took several years before we could put our new found knowledge into practice and it is still an ongoing learning process. Our goals today are not just about regenerative ranching but also include what we are calling “regenerative resilience”. Regenerative resilience is the idea that land, soils, plants, and people need to become better able to handle stress and learn from that stress in a positive way.
